Alley way in the Nabi Daniel street behind the main Jewish Synagogue. Nabi Daniel street is a main thoroughfare in the ancient city of Alexandria, where many shops and street vendors congregate. November 22, 2017

The city of Alexander the Great, which fantasized generations of writers, seems to lose its memory. Yet a handful of artists and intellectuals try to preserve the legacy of this city that was the most open in Egypt.
