The Yaghi’s backpacks which they carried with them from Gaza in their temporary home in Cairo, Egypt, November 19, 2023. The Yaghi’s were only able to carry their bare essentials with them while fleeing Gaza under Israeli bombardment. Momen Yaghi, was not allowed to carry a bag with him during their evacuation from Shifa Hospital to the south of the Gaza Strip, his wife Rania Yaghi says, she recounts how he was forced to hold his hands up in the air while the rest of them walked.
