Fleeing Syria: An Unwelcoming World
A group of Syrian refugee women in Alexandria, Egypt once strangers in their homeland, become friends and colleagues in Egypt. Together they are Sitt Al Sham, or Woman of Damascus, a catering company cooking Syrian food. In their small apartment where they cook, they share their sorrows, their pain, their struggles and importantly, food.
